    ٤٨٧٨ - سبطا الخياط (¬١): الشيخ الإمام المسند المقرئ الصالح، بقية السلف، أبو عبد الله الحسين بن علي بن أحمد بن عبد الله البغدادي. كان أسن من أخيه. ولد سنة ثمان وخمسين وأربع مائة. سمع الكثير بإفادة ابن الخاضبة. سمع أبا محمد الصريفيني، وعبد الصمد بن المأمون، وأبا الحسين ابن النقور، وأبا منصور العكبري النديم، ومن بعدهم. حدث عنه: ابن عساكر، والسمعاني، وابن الجوزي، وأبو اليمن الكندي، وجماعة. قال السمعاني: صالح، حسن الإقراء، دين، يأكل من كد يده، سمع الكثير بإفادة ابن الخاضبة في مجلس عفيف القائمي. وقال أبو الفرج بن الجوزي: قرأت عليه القرآن، مات في ذي الحجة سنة سبع وثلاثين وخمس مائة.
