    ٤٨٣١ - ابن عَطَّاف (¬١): الإمام المحدث الصادق، أبو الفضل، محمد بن محمد بن محمد بن عطاف، الهمداني، الجزري، ثم الموصلي. قدم بغداد، وسمع من: مالك البانياسي، وطراد الزينبي، وابن طلحة النعالي، فمن بعدهم. وعمل "المعجم"، و "الطب النبوي"، وغير ذلك. وارتحل إلى الكوفة، وآمل، وهمذان. روى عنه: ولده سعيد، وابن عساكر، وأبو سعيد السمعاني. مات في شوال سنة أربع وثلاثين وخمس مائة وله سبعون سنة.
