    ٤٠٢٤ - ابن ميقل (¬١): عالم قرطبة، وعابدها، وشيخ المالكية، أبو الوليد؛ محمد بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن ميقل، المرسي. حدث عن: أبي محمد الأصيلي، وهاشم بن يحيى، وسهل بن إبراهيم. وتحول إلى قرطبة، وتفقه وبرع. قال أبو عمر بن الحذاء: ما لقيت أتم ورعًا ولا أحسن خلقًا ولا أكمل علمًا منه، كان يختم القرآن على قدميه في كل يوم وليلة، وترك اللحم من أول الفتنة إلَّا من طير أو حوت أو صيد، وكان سخيًا على توسط ماله، وكان أحفظ الناس للمذهب، وأقواهم احتجاجًا، مع علمه بالحديث ورجاله، واللغة والقراءات والشعر. مات في شوال سنة ست وثلاثين وأربع مائة بمرسية، ودفن في قبلة جامعها، وله أربع وسبعون سنة.
