    ٣٤٠٠ - والد أبي نُعَيْم (¬١): الحافظ الإمام، أبو محمد، عبد الله بن أحمد بن إسحاق الأصبهاني، سبط محمد بن يوسف البنا الزاهد، وولاؤه لآل عبد الله بن جعفر بن أبي طالب. روى عن أبي خليفة، وابن ناجية، وعبدان الأهوازي، ومحمد بن يحيى بن منده، وطبقتهم. روى عنه: ابنه أبو نعيم، وأبو بكر بن أبي علي الذكواني. مات سنة خمس وستين وثلاث مائة، وله أربع وثمانون سنة. وكان صدوقًا عالمًا، بكَّر بولده وسَمَّعَه من الكبار، وأخذ له إجازة الأصم، وابن داسة.
