    ١٩٠١ - منصور بن ال مهدي (¬٣٧٨) محمد بن منصور أبي جعفر العباسي ولي الشام للأمين وولي البصرة لأخيه الرشيد وقد دعي للخلافة بعد المئتين لما ثاروا على المأمون فامتنع. حدث عن الوليد بن مسلم وسويد بن عبد العزيز. روى عنه أبو العيناء. قال أبو الصقر محمد بن داود كان أبي على شرطة منصور بدمشق فدس منصور من سرق من الجامع قلة البلور فلما رأى الإمام مكانها ضرب بقلنسوته الأرض وصرخ سرقت قلتكم فقال الناس لا صلاة بعد القلة فصارت مثلاً وكانت أخذت للأمين ثم ردها المأمون إلى موضعها. عاش الأمير منصور إلى سنة ست وثلاثين ومئتين.
