    ٤٧٨ - وحميد بن عبد الرحمن (¬١): " ع" الزهري أخوه وشقيقه، وخالهما عثمان؛ لأنه أخو أم كلثوم من الأم. حدث عن: أبويه. وعن: خاله؛ عثمان، وسعيد بن زيد، وأبي هريرة، وعبد الله بن عباس، وجماعة. روى عنه سعد بن إبراهيم القاضي، وابن أبي ملكية، والزهري، وصفوان بن سليم، وقتادة، وآخرون. وقيل: إنه لحق عمر، ولم يصح ذلك بل ولد في أيامه. وكان فقيهًا، نبيلًا، شريفًا. وثقه: أبو زرعة الرازي. مات في سنة خمس وتسعين. ومن قال: إنه مات في سنة خمس ومائة، فقد وهم.
