شيخة أخرى: هي أم البنين، فاطمة بنت الحسن بن أحمد بن أبي نصر الزندخاني السرخسي. والدتي رحمها الله، من أهل سرخس. من بيت الرئاسة والتقدم. والدها كان رئيس مرو. وهي كانت راغبة في الخير، كثيرة المعروف والإحسان إلى الناس. وكانت ولادتها بالزندخان، سنة نيف وثمانين وأربع مائة. وماتت بسرخس، سنة ثلاث وثلاثين وخمس مائة. الرواية: سمعت والدتي رحمها الله، تقول: سمعت والدك أبا بكر محمد ابن السمعاني، يقول: إذا سمعت صوت الرعد، فقولي: ﴿وَيُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ﴾ [الرعد: ١٣] .
