ضوء النهار بن الحافظ أبي الفضل محمد بن طاهر المقدسي، من أهل همذان. من أولاد المحدثين، والدها ممن يضرب به المثل في الحفظ والجمع والرحلة، ولقي المشايخ. وهي زوجة الرضي أبي الفخر سعد بن محمد بن عبد الواحد ابن يوغه الكرابيسي الصوفي. وسمعت بهمذان أبا الفتح عبدوس بن عبد الله الهمذاني، وبالري أبا بكر إسماعيل بن علي بن أحمد الخطيب، وغيرهما. سمعت منها أوراقًا من الحديث بهمذان. وكان من جملة ما سمعته: كتاب مسند الشافعي من إسماعيل الخطيب، عن القاضي أبي بكر الحيري، عن الأصم، عن الربيع بن سليمان، عنه.
