شيخ آخر: هو أبو عبد الله، محمد بن نصر بن صغير، القيسراني، العكاوي. ولد بعكا، ونشأ بقيسارية، وسكن حلب بعد أن استولى الافرنج على بلاد الساحل، وكان غزير الفضل، حسن الشعر، رقيق الطبع، له معرفة تامة باللغة والأدب. اجتمعت به بمنزل على ثمانية فراسخ من حلب، يقال له: دير الحافر، وكانمشرقًا، وكنت مغربًا، فاغتنمت تلك الساعة، وعلقت عنه مقطعات من شعره المليح، وأخذت خطه في الإجازة ولم أر في شعراء الشام أفضل منه، ولا أرق شعرًا، وأجود طبعًا. وسألته عن ولادته، فقال: ولدت في سنة ثمان وسبعين وأربع مائة بعكا بلدة على ساحل بحر الروم. وتوفي بدمشق في سنة خمسين وخمس مائة.
