شيخ آخر: أبو الفضل محمد بن عاصم ابن المنشئ، الهروي، من أهل هراة. كان أحد كتاب خراسان، والمعروف، بالفضل، وحسن الكتابة بالعربية والعجمية. وكان خيرًا راعيًا لحقوق الأصدقاء، ترك ديوان الإنشاء، ورجع إلى وطنه وانزوى ولزم بيته بهراة، واشتغل بكتابة المصاحف، وقضاء الصلوات والاعتذار عما سبق وسلف. لقيته بهراة في وقت العزلة، وكتبت عنه شيئا من شعره، وأعطاني أجزاء بخطه.وكانت ولادته في حدود سنة سبعين وأربع مائة، وتوفي بهراة في السادس والعشرين من صفر، سنة ثلاث وأربعين وخمس مائة.
