شيخ آخر: هو أبو عبد الله محمد بن سعد بن محمد بن عبد العزيز بن يوسف، الفاشاني، من قرية فاشان. كان شيخًا صالحًا، سديد السيرة، يحفظ كثيرًا من كلام المشايخ خصوصًا منكلمات شيخ مرو أبي علي الأسود، وكان من مشاهير شيوخ قريته. سمع الإمام جدي أبا المظفر السمعاني، قرأت عليه أجزاء من الأحاديث الألف التي جمعها جدي، ولم يقرأ عليه أحد الحديث قبلي ولا بعدي فيما أظن. وكانت ولادته في حدود سنة خمسين وأربع مائة، وتوفي بفاشان في العشرين من ذي الحجة، سنة ست وثلاثين وخمس مائة.
