شيخ آخر: هو أبو عمرو عثمان بن محمد بن محمد بن موسى الشاشي الفاشاني من أهل فاشان. كان شيخا، واعظا، صالحا، كثير العبادة والتهجد، مواظبا على الأذان والذكر في السحر. سمع: الإمام والدي، وأبا محمد الحسين بن مسعود بن الفراء البغوي، وغيرهما. سمعت منه الأربعين الصغير الذي جمعه الحسين بن مسعود الفراء. وكانت ولادته في سنة ثمان وثمانين وأربع مائة. وتوفي بقرية بوينه، يوم الجمعة بعد الصلاة، الثاني من شهر ربيع الآخر، من سنة ست وخمسين وخمس مائة، ودفن بها.
