أبو عمرو عثمان بن أحمد بن محمد بن منصور العارف البزاز الكرابيسي من أهل نيسابور.شيخ من وجوه أهل السوق، راغب في الخير. سمع: أبا بكر أحمد بن علي الشيرازي الأديب، وأبا تراب عبد الباقي بن يوسف المراغي، وأبا الحسن أحمد بن محمد الشجاعي، وغيرهم. توفي بنيسابور ليلة الصك منتصف شعبان، سنة ثمان وثلاثين وخمس مائة.
