شيخ آخر: هو أبو حفص عمر بن عبد العزيز بن أبي الفضل الفاشاني المقرئ من أهل فاشان، سكن البلد. كان قرأ القرآن بالروايات على المقرئ أبي محمد بن الكركانجي. وكان صالحا، حسن السيرة، من أهل الخير والورع، كثير العبادة. سمع بقراءتي على: أبي حفص عمر بن محمد بن الحسن الفرغولي، وغيره. كتبت عنه شيئا من الشعر، وكان كثير الزيارة لي والسؤال عني من المسائل الفقهية. وكانت ولادته في شوال، سنة إحدى وثمانين وأربع مائة، بقرية فاشان. ووفاته بمرو في الحادي والعشرين من شعبان، سنة أربع وخمسين وخمس مائة، ودفن بأسفل سكة سادباذي.
