شيخ آخر: هو أبو بكر عمر بن عبد الرحيم الشاشي الصوفي من أهل الشاش، سكن مرو في الخانقاه على شط الزريق. وكان شيخا صالحا، عفيفا، كثير العبادة والخير. صحب بَلَدِيَّه أبا رجاء المؤمل بن مسرور الشاشي، وسمع الحديث من: جدي الإمام أبي المظفر السمعاني، وأبي القاسم هبة الله بن عبد الوارث الشيرازي الحافظ، وأبي سعد محمد بن الحارث الحارثي، وغيرهم. كتبت عنه بمرو، وكنت أتبرك به وأزوره. ومن جملة ما سمعت منه الأربعين التي جمعها هبة الله الشيرازي، بروايته عنه. وكانت ولادته في حدود سنة خمسين وأربع مائة بالشاش. وتوفي بمرو في أواخر سنة ثمان أو أوائل سنة تسع وعشرين وخمس مائة، ودفن على طرف نهر الزريق.
