أبو الفتوح عبد الوهاب بن إسماعيل بن محمد بن عمر الصيرفي من أهل نيسابور، من أسباط الإمام أبي القاسم القشيري، وأبي عبد الرحمن السلمي. كان عالما فاضلا، حسن الخط، كتب الكثير بخطه، ونسخ. سمع: أبا بكر أحمد بن علي بن خلف الشيرازي، وأم البنين فاطمة بنت أبي علي الدقاق، وأبا القاسم الفضل بن أحمد بن محمد الجرجاني، وغيرهم.سمعت منه بنيسابور في النوب الثلاثة. فمن جملة ما سمعت منه: كتاب الأربعين للحاكم أبي عبد الله الحافظ، بروايته عن ابن خلف، عنه. وكانت ولادته يوم الخميس بعد العصر، الثالث عشر من المحرم، سنة أربع وسبعين وأربع مائة بنيسابور. ووفاته بها في شوال، سنة أربع وخمسين وخمس مائة.
