شيخ آخر: هو أبو محمد عبد الصمد بن محمد بن عمر بن عبد الله البغوي الخطيب من أهل بغشور. كان شيخا صالحا، ورعا، تقيا، كثير العبادة والخير، ولي الخطابة ببغشور مدة، وكان الناس يتبركون به ويتقربون إليه.سمع أكثر جامع أبي عيسى الترمذي من القاضي أبي سعيد محمد بن علي الدباس، عن الجراحي، عن المحبوبي، عنه. وكذلك شمائل الصالحين لأبي عبد الله محمد بن عقيل الفقيه، بروايته عن ابن أبي صالح، عن الحاكم علي بن أحمد الإستراباذي، عن ابن أبي شريح، عنه. سمعت منه ببغشور. وكانت ولادته في السابع والعشرين من شوال، سنة إحدى وثمانين وأربع مائة ببغشور. ووفاته بهراة في شهر ربيع الأول، سنة ست وخمسين وخمس مائة، ودفن بباب خشك.
