شيخ آخر: هو السيد أبو يعلى عبد الأعلى بن عبد العزيز بن أبي الفخر العلوي الحسيني من أهل مالين هراة. كان يسكن قرية، يقال لها: ميمدان، وهو سبط أبي عروبة عبد الهادي بن عبد الله الأنصاري.كان علويًا، مفضلا، جوادا سخي النفس. سمع: أبا عبد الله محمد بن علي بن محمد العميري، وأبا عطاء عبد الأعلى بن عبد الواحد المليحي، وأبا سهل نجيب بن ميمون الواسطي، وغيرهم. سمعت منه بقرية ميمدان بهراة، ثم قدم علينا مرو منصرفًا من خوارزم، وسمعت منه جزءا، وسمعت ولدي أبا المظفر عنه. وكانت ولادته بهراة. . . . وأربع مائة. ووفاته بها يوم الأربعاء الثاني والعشرين من المحرم، سنة تسع وأربعين وخمس مائة.
