شيخ آخر: هو أبو محمد عبد الله بن محمد بن الحسن الحمامي المقرئ المعروف بأوليا من أهل مرو. كان شيخًا صالحًا ورعًا، حسن السيرة، مليح الأخلاق، متواضعًا عفيفًا نزه النفس، مشتغلًا بما يعنيه.سمع: جدي الإمام أبا المظفر السمعاني، وأبا الحسن علي بن أبي بكر البورقي الحافظ، والحسن بن أبي محمد الموسوي، وغيرهم. قرأت عليه مجلسًا من أمالي جدي، وما أظن أن أحدًا قرأ عليه الحديث غيري. وكانت ولادته تقريرًا سنة نيف وسبعين وأربع مائة. ووفاته فجأة يوم السبت التاسع والعشرين من شهر ربيع الأول، سنة ثمان وعشرين وخمس مائة، وكان توضأ لصلاة الصبح، ومات قاعدًا مستقبل القبلة على الوضوء.
