شيخ آخر: هو أبو محمد عبد الله بن أحمد بن الحسين بن أبي أحمد الخرقي الواعظ من أهل قرية خرق؛ إحدى قرى مرو. تفقه على الإمام موفَّق الهروي. وكان يعظ في النواحي، وكان حسن السيرة. سمع: أبا الفرج عبد الرحمن بن أحمد الزاز السرخسي، وأبا الفتح الموفق بنعبد الكريم الهروي، وغيرهما. سمعت منه أحاديث يسيرة. وكانت ولادته يوم الاثنين يوم عاشوراء من سنة إحدى وسبعين وأربع مائة بقرية خرق. ووفاته بها في شهر رمضان، سنة ثمان وأربعين وخمس مائة.
