شيخ آخر: هو أبو العلاء صاعد بن عبد الوهاب بن عبد الصمد بن عبد الملك بن موسى المعدل النيسابوري من أهل نيسابور. شيخ عدل، سديد السيرة، من بيت العدالة. سمع: أبا بكر أحمد بن خلف الشيرازي. سمعت منه شيئًا يسيرًا. وقتل ببشت فروش فتكًا ليلة الجمعة النصف من شوال، سنة ست وثلاثين وخمس مائة، قتله الروافض، ونقل تابوته إلى نيسابور فدفن بالحيرة.
