شيخ آخر: هو أبو عبد الله سفيان بن أحمد بن محمد بن محمد بن علي بن عمر الخرقي الأصبهاني من أهل أصبهان. شاب من بيت الحديث والعلم، حريص على طلب العلم. سمع: أباه أبا الفضل بن أبي طاهر، والسيد أبا محمد حمزة بن العباس بن علي العلوي، وأبا القاسم غانم بن محمد بن عبيد الله البرجي، وأبا محمد منصور بن علي بن منصور الخباز، وأبا الفضل جعفر بن عبد الواحد بن محمد بن محمودالثقفي، وأبا منصور محمود بن إسماعيل الصيرفي، وغيرهم. كتب لي جزءًا بخطه عن شيوخه، وسمعت منه ذلك الجزء، وسمع بقراءتي الكثير عن الشيوخ، وسمعت بقراءته.
