شيخ آخر: هو أبو إسماعيل سعيد بن المطهر بن أحمد بن عبد الله السكري الكاتب الأصبهاني سبط أبي سعد الواعظ من أهل أصبهان. كان محتشمًا، جليل القدر، له ثروة ودنيا عريضة. سمع: أبا بكر أحمد بن الفضل الباطرقاني المقرئ، وأبا علي الحسن بن عمر بن الحسن بن يونس الحافظ، وأبا مسعود سليمان بن إبراهيم الوراق، وغيرهم. سمعت منه في داره إملاء من مجالس أحمد بن الفضل، ومجلسًا من إملاء أبي علي بن يونس الحافظ.
