شيخ آخر: هو أبو منصور سعد بن سعيد بن يوسف بن محمد بن يوسف بن الحسن بن عثمان الخطيب الهمذاني من أهل همذان. كان شيخًا صالحًاسديدًا، بهي المنظر، سكن قرية من قرى همذان، وهو من أولاد المحدثين. سمع: جده أبا القاسم يوسف بن محمد ابن الخطيب.ولما وافيت همذان أول مرة سنة اثنتين وثلاثين سألت من أحضره البلد لأسمع منه ففعل، وانتخبت عليه قدر ثلاثة أوراق من حديث جده، وقرأتها عليه، وما أظن أنه حدث قبل ذلك، والله أعلم. وسألته عن ولادته، فقال: ولدت في سنة ثلاث وثلاثين وخمس مائة، إن شاء الله.
