أبو طاهر راشد بن محمد بن عبد الله المؤذن المكبر الدمشقي العطار من أهل دمشق. كان شيخًا صالحًا، يكبر بجامع دمشق، ويبلغ الناس تكبير الإمام، وكان أبو محمد عبد العزيز بن أحمد بن محمد الكتاني الحافظ أجاز لأهل دمشق، وكان هو من الموجودين وقت الإجازة، فقرأت عليه في جماعة من طلبة الحديث جزءًا من حديث خيثمة بن سليمان الأطرابلسي، عن عبد العزيز، عن أبي عبد الله تمام بن محمد الرازي، عنه.وكانت ولادته في حدود سنة ستين وأربع مائة بدمشق. وتوفي بها يوم الخميس الخامس في شهر رمضان، سنة اثنتين وأربعين وخمس مائة.
