شيخ آخر: هو أبو الفضل الحسين بن الحسن بن إسماعيل بن صاعد القاضي من أهل نيسابور.ولد قاضي القضاة أبي علي الحسن، ووالد أبي العلاء صاعد الذي سمعنا منه. وأبو الفضل من بيت العلم والقضاء. سمع: أبا بكر محمد بن عبد العزيز الحيري الحافظ، وأبا سعد محمد بن عبد الرحمن الجنزروذي الأديب. كتب إلي الإجازة بجميع مسموعاته، ومن جملتها كتاب: التاريخ الكبير للنيسابوريين، تصنيف الحاكم أبي عبد الله البيع الحافظ، بروايته عن أبي بكر الحيري، عنه. وتوفي بنيسابور يوم الجمعة الحادي والعشرين من جمادى الأولى سنة إحدى عشرة وخمس مائة، ودفن بمقبرة سكة القصارين.
