شيخ آخر: هو أبو محمد بختيار بن محمد بن الحسين بن محمد بن علي الخلال الرازي، من أهل أصبهان. وهو ابن عم شيخنا الأديب أبي عبد الله الحسين بن عبد الملك الخلال. كان شيخا صالحا، معمرا، أخرج لنا الأديب إجازته عن أبي الطيب عبد الرزاق بن عمر بن شمة التاجر، فقرأت عليه بإفادته ستة أحاديث من الأربعين التي لأبي بكر ابن المقرئ. وكانت ولادته في سنة نيف وخمسين وأربع مائة. ووفاته بعد سنة إحدى وثلاثين وخمس مائة.
