شيخ آخر: هو أبو يعلى أحمد بن أبي حاتم طاهر بن أحمد العبادي، من أهل هراة، كان يسكن قرية كزينان. وكان شيخا صالحا، عالما، حسن السيرة، سمع كتاب الغربيين لأبي عبيدالهروي، عن إسماعيل، عن منصور المقرئ، بروايته عن أبي نصر الجوزقي، عنه. وكانت ولادته بعد سنة سبعين وأربع مائة. ووفاته بعد سنة أربعين وخمس مائة.
