ذِكْرُ وَابِصَةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ أَسَدِ خُزَيْمَةَ ﵁ سَكَنَ الْكُوفَةِ وَقُبِرَ بِهَا، وَقُبِرَ عِنْدَ مَنَارَةِ مَسْجِدِ جَامِعِ الرِّقَّةِ ﵀. قَالَ أَبُو رَاشِدٍ الْأَزْرَقُ: كُنْتُ آتِي وَابِصَةَ، وَقَلَّ مَا آتَيْتُهُ إِلَّا وَجَدْتُ الْمُصْحَفَ مُوضَعًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، يَبْكِي حَتَّى أَرَى دُمُوعَهُ قَدْ بَلَّتِ الْوَرَقَ.
