ذِكْرُ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ﵁ نَزَلَ الْكُوفَةَ، قَالَ أَهْلُ التَّارِيخِ: يُقَالُ لَهُ: الْبَدْرِيُّ، وَلَمْ يَشْهَدْ بَدْرًا. وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ: كَانَ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو تُشَبَّهُ تُجَالِيدُهُ بِتَجَالِيدِ عُمَرَ ﵁، تَجَالِيدُهُ: جِسْمُهُ وَشَخْصُهُ. قَالَ أَهْلُ التَّارِيخِ: شَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْغَرِ مَنْ شَهِدَهَا.
