سالم بن حرملة العدوي وهو ابن زهي بن عبد الله بن خنيس العدوي وفد على رسول الله ﷺ. أخبرنا أبو قتيبة سلم بن الفضل، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الليث الجوهري، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن الفضل، قال: حدثنا سليمان بن عبد العزيز بن عتبة بن سالم بن حرملة، قال: حدثني أبي، أن أباه أخبره: أن سالم بن حرملة وفد على رسول الله ﷺ فدعا له بالبركة، وهو غلام، فسمت عليه رسول الله ﷺ، وتطهر بفضل وضوءه.رواه عباس بن عبد العظيم، عن سليمان بن عبد العزيز بهذا. ـ
