حيان بن الأعرج بعثه النبي ﷺ إلى البحرين، وهو وهم. رواه عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن السمرقندي، عن مروان بن محمد الطاطري، عن بكر بن معروف، عن محمد بن زيد الخراساني عنه، وهووهم والصواب: ما رواه أبو حمزة وغيره، فقالوا: عن محمد بن زيد، عن حيان الأعرج، عن العلاء بن الحضرمي.
