الأسود بن عوف بن عبد عوف بن عبد بن الحارث بن زهرةأخو عبد الرحمن، أسلم يوم الفتح، هو وحصين، فمات بالمدينة، وله بها دار. أخبرنا أحمد بن مهران، قال: حدثنا محمد بن منصور، قال: حدثنا محمد بن سعد الواقدي، قال: وعبد الله بن عوف بن عبد عوف، أخو عبد الرحمن أسلم في الفتح هو وأخوه الأسود وحصين، وله دار بالمدينة، فيها مات.
