٢٩٨٤ ـ أبو قيس بن الحارث بن قيس بن عدى بن سهم القرشى السهمى: وهو من ولد سعد بن سهم، لا من ولد سعيد بن سهم، وكان قيس بن عدى سيّد قريش فى الجاهلية، غير مدافع، وكان أبو قيس هذا من مهاجرة الحبشة، ثم قدم فشهد أحدا وما بعدها من المشاهد. قال ابن إسحاق: أبو قيس اسمه عبد الله، وقد روى عن ابن إسحاق أنه أخوه. وكان أبوه الحارث بن قيس أحد المستهزئين، الذين جعلوا القرآن عضين، وجده قيس بن عدى، وهو جد ابن الزبعرى أيضا، وكان فى زمانه من أجل رجل (١) من قريش، وهو الذى جمع الأخلاف على بنى عبد مناف. والأحلاف: عدى، ومخزوم وسهم وجمح (٢). قتل أبو قيس بن الحارث يوم اليمامة شهيدا. ولا أعلم له رواية. * * *
