٢٨١٦ ـ أبو بكر بن عبد الحليم بن أبى العز العسقلانى: كذا ذكره القاضى علاء الدين بن خطيب الناصرية فى «ذيله» على بغية الطلب فى تاريخ حلب، للصاحب كمال الدين بن العديم، وقال: ذكره الحافظ فى معجمه، وقال فيه: المقرى الرجل الصالح الزاهد، من قراء أهل دمشق فى الختم، مولده بحران فى حدود سنة اثنتين وستمائة، وسمع من الجمال البغدادى، وغيره. وتغير ذهنه بعد سماعنا منه بمدة، وذكر ذلك قبل موته بعامين، وآواه أولاد أخته، وقد حج مرات. وفقئت عينه بأم غيلان، وكان إذا قرأ هو والشيخ محمد بن الشواء، أطربا وأبكيا. مات فى ذى الحجة سنة ثلاث عشرة وسبعمائة بمر. روى عنه حديث. انتهى.
