٢٦٦٦ ـ الوليد بن عبد شمس بن المغيرة بن عبد الله بن عمر بن مخزوم القرشى المخزومى المكى: أسلم يوم فتح مكة، واستشهد يوم اليمامة تحت لواء عمه خالد بن الوليد. قال الزبير: وأمه قيلة بنت جحش بن ربيعة بن أهيب بن الضّباب بن حجير بن عبد ابن معيص بن عامر بن لؤى. وقال: قتل الوليد بن عبد شمس باليمامة شهيدا، مع خالد ابن الوليد. انتهى.
