٢٤٨٦ ـ معبد بن العباس بن عبد المطلب بن هاشم القرشى الهاشمى: أمير مكة، يكنى أبا العباس، ابن عم النبى ﷺ، ولد على عهد النبى ﷺ، ولم يحفظ عنه، وولى مكة لعلىّ بن أبى طالب رضى الله عنه، على ما ذكره الزبير بن بكار، وابن حزم. قتل بإفريقية شهيدا، لما خرج فى الغزو إليها مع عبد الله بن أبى سرح، وذلك فى زمن عثمان، سنة خمس وثلاثين. وأمه: أم الفضل لبابة بنت الحارث، أخت ميمونة بنت الحارث، زوج النبىصلى الله عليه وسلم. وهى أم إخوته: عبد الله، وعبيد الله، وقثم، وعبد الرحمن، وأم حبيبة، وأم الفضل، أولاد العباس بن عبد المطلب، رضى الله عنهم.
