٢٢٨٢ ـ عياض بن غنم بن زهير بن أبى شداد بن ربيعة بن هلال بن مالك بن ضبّة بن الحارث بن فهر القرشى الفهرى: هكذا نسبه الزبير، وقال: كان شريفا وله فتوحات بناحية الجزيرة فى زمن عمر بن الخطاب رضى الله عنه، وهو أول من أجاز الدروب إلى أرض الروم. وقد ذكره عبد الله بن قيس الرقيات، فيمن ذكر من أشراف قريش، فقال: وعياض منا عياض بن غنم ... كان من خير من أجن النساء انتهى. والظاهر أن أحد المذكورين قبل، وما ذكره الزبير فى نسبه، يدلّ على أنه سقط فى النسخة التى رأيتها من الاستيعاب: «مالك بن ضبّة» فى نسب عياض بن زهير.
