١٨٦٩ ـ عبد المجيد بن عبد الدائم بن عمر بن حسين بن عبد الواحد الكنانى، أبو الفضل بن أبى محمد العسقلانى المكى الشافعى: ولد فى صفر سنة سبع وأربعين وخمسمائة بعسقلان، وسمع بمكة من أبى حفص الميانشى، وجاور بها مدة طويلة. ذكره المنذرى فى «التكملة»، وذكر أنه سمعه يقول: إن له خمسين وقفة. وذكر أنه توفى فى ليلة حادى عشر شعبان، سنة ثلاث عشرة وستمائة بمصر، ودفن بسفح المقطم، قال: وكان سبب قدومه مصر، غلاء كثير وقع بمكة.
