١٨٣٥ ـ عبد العزيز بن محمود بن عبد الرحمن المالكى، أبو محمد، المعروف بابن القصار: تفقه على مذهب مالك رضى الله عنه، واشتغل بعلم الحديث، وأقبل عليه إقبالا كثيرا، واختصر كتاب الحميدى فى الجمع بين الصحيحين، وغير ذلك. وصحب جماعة من الصالحين، وكتب بخطه كثيرا، وجاور بمكة شرفها الله تعالى مدة. وكان على طريقة حسنة، يؤثر الانفراد عن الناس، وترك ما لا يعنيه. ذكر ذلك، المنذرى فى التكملة، وقال: ما علمته حدث. وتوفى فى ثانى جمادى الآخرة سنة سبع وعشرين وستمائة بمصر، ودفن بسفح المقطم.
