١٧٩٩ ـ عبد الرحمن بن يوسف بن أحمد بن صالح بن عبد الرحمن الشيبى المكى، يلقب بالوجيه: أحد الحجبة، أجاز له فى سنة ثلاث عشرة: الدشتى، والقاضى سليمان بن حمزة، والمطعم، وابن مكتوم، وابن عبد الدايم، وغيرهم، من دمشق. ومن مكة: الرضى الطبرى، وجماعة. وتوفى ـ ظنّا ـ سنة اثنتين وستين وسبعمائة بمكة. ودفن بالمعلاة. وكان موته فجأة؛لأنه خرج من الكعبة، واستند إلى شباك المقام، ففاضت روحه. وكان خيرا.
