١٧٩٥ ـ عبد الرحمن بن يزيد بن محمد بن حنظلة بن محمد بن عباد بن جعفر المخزومى، قاضى مكة: هكذا نسبه ابن حزم، وذكر أنه ولى قضاء، وأن له ابنا محدا، اسمه محمد. وذكره الفاكهى فى الترجمة التى ترجم عليها بقوله: ذكر من ولى قضاء مكة من أهلها من قريش. وكان منهم: محمد بن عبد الرحمن السفيانى، الذى ذكرناه آنفا، ثم من بعد ذلك عبد الرحمن بن يزيد بن حنظلة، أدركته على قضائه مكة. انتهى. وقال لما ذكر سيول مكة: ولم يغرق وادى مكة إلى سنة سبع وثلاثين ومائتين، فغرقتهأم المتوكل. وكان المتولى لذلك، محمد بن داود، وعبد الرحمن بن يزيد. انتهى. وهذا يدل على أن عبد الرحمن هذا، كان على قضاء مكة فى هذا التاريخ. والله أعلم.
