١٧٠٧ ـ عبد الحميد بن على الموغانى: كان من أهل الخير والصلاح. صحب الشيخ أبا العباس المرسى مع صاحبيه: الشيخ نجم الدين الأصبهانى، ويحيى التونسى، وتوجهوا معا إلى مكة على صحراء عيذاب، وأقام هو ويحيى عند الشيخ نجم الدين بمكة مدة طويلة، واكتسبا منه مآثر جليلة، ثمتوجها إلى المدينة وأقاما بها، ثم سافر الشيخ عبد الحميد منها بأولاده لقصد الإعانة عليهم، فأدركه الأجل فى سنة سبع وعشرين وسبعمائة بقطيا، من طريق مصر. ذكره ابن فرحون فى كتابه «نصيحة المشاور». وذكره شيخنا القاضى مجد الدين الشيرازى، وذكر أن الصواب فى نسبه: الموقانى قال: وهى قرية بأذربيجان.
