١٤٩٦ ـ عبد الله بن جحش بن رئاب بن يعمر بن خزيمة بن أسد، أبو محمد الأسدى: روى عن النبى ﷺ. أسلم على ما ذكره الواقدى، قبل دخول النبى ﷺ دار الأرقم، وهاجر إلى الحبشة، ثم إلى المدينة، وشهد بدرا وأحدا، واستشهد بها، وجدع يومئذ، وكان يسأل الله فى ذلك، ولذلك قيل له المجدع، وكان النبى ﷺ، بعثه فى بعض سراياه، فلما رجع من سريته خمس ما غنم وقسم سائر الغنيمة، فذلك أول خمس فى الإسلام. وسريته أول سرية على ما قيل. وهو حليف لبنى عبد شمس، وقيل لحارث بن أمية، وعاش نيفا وأربعين سنة.
