١٤٩٤ ـ عبد الله بن بديل بن ورقاء بن عبد العزى بن ربيعة الخزاعى: أسلم مع أبيه قبل الفتح على الصحيح، وقيل هما من مسلمة الفتح، وشهد حنينا والطائف وتبوك، على ما قال الطبرى وغيره، وشهد صفين مع على بن أبى طالب،وكان من أصحابه، وكان على رجالته يومئذ، وكان عليه على ما ذكر الشعبى: درعان وسيفان، ولم يزل يضرب بسيفه حتى انتهى إلى معاوية، فأزاله عن موقفه، وأزال أصحابه أيضا، فرموه بالحجارة حتى قتل، وكان له قدر وجلالة، وهو سيد خزاعة. ذكره ابن عبد البر.
