١٤٩١ ـ عبد الله بن أيدغمش بن أحمد الدمشقى، أبو محمد، المعروف بالماردينى: سمع من الحافظين: أبى محمد عبد الغنى بن عبد الواحد المقدسى، وأبى نزار ربيعة بن الحسن المصرى، وصحب جماعة من المشايخ، وسلك طريقة الفقراء، وانقطع إليه جماعة، ورزق قبولا، خصوصا من الأمراء. وكان كثير الإقدام عليهم والإغلاظ لهم، وانقطع بمكة حتى توفى بها، فى الرابع من المحرم سنة اثنتين وستمائة. كتبت هذه الترجمة من التكملة للمنذرى، وترجمه: بالشيخ الصالح.
