١٤٦٨ ـ عباد بن كثير الثقفى البصرى: المجاور بمكة، روى عن ثابت البنانى، وأبى عمران الجونى، وعبد الله بن دينار، وأبى الزبير، وخلق. وعنه إبراهيم بن أدهم، وأبو نعيم، وأبو عاصم، وآخرون، منهم: جرير بن عبد الحميد. وكان إذا حدث عنه يقولون له: اعفنا منه، فيقول: ويحكم، كان شيخا صالحا.وقال البخارى: سكن مكة، تركوه. وقال ابن حبان. ليس هو بعباد بن كثير الرملى. وقد قال بعض أصحابنا: إنهما بمعنى واحد، يعنى فأخطأ. وذكر أنه مات قبل الثورى. روى له أبو داود والترمذى. * * *
