    ١٢٥٤ ـ سباع بن ثابت الخزاعى، حليف بنى زهرة: روى عن عمر بن الخطاب، وابن عمه محمد بن ثابت بن سباع، والد خيرة بنت محمد، على خلاف فيه، وأم كرز الكعبّية الخزاعية. روى عنه: عبيد الله بن أبى يزيد، وقيل عن عبيد الله بن أبى يزيد، عن أبيه، عنه. روى له أصحاب السنن الأربعة، ذكره ابن حبان فى الثقات. وذكره محمد بن سعد، ومسلم بن الحجاج، فى تابعى أهل مكة. وذكر ابن سعد: أنه كان قليل الحديث. وذكره ابن الأثير فى الصحابة لأنه قال: سباع بن ثابت. روى ابن قانع بإسناده عن ابن عيينة، عن عبيد الله بن أبى يزيد، عن سباع بن ثابت، قال: أدركت أهل الجاهلية يطوفون بين الصفا والمروة. انتهى.
