    ١٢٤٢ ـ السائب بن خباب، مولى فاطمة بنت عتبة بن ربيعة على ما قيل، أبو مسلم، وقيل أبو عبد الرحمن: صاحب المقصورة. له صحبة، وحديث واحد. روى عنه إسحاق بن سالم، ومحمد ابن عمرو بن عطاء، وابنه مسلم بن السائب. قيل: توفى سنة سبع وسبعين، وهو ابن اثنتين وتسعين سنة. ذكره بمعنى هذا ابن عبد البر. وذكره البخارى، ما يقتضى أنه مات فى حياة ابن عمر، وابن عمر مات فى سنة أربع وسبعين. ولم يجزم البخارى بصحبته، وإنما قال: يقال له صحبة. وقد أخرج ابن ماجة حديثه (١)، من غير أن ينسبه، وحديثه: «لا وضوء إلا من صوت أو ريح».
