٨٩٧ ـ جعفر بن الفضل بن عيسى بن موسى العباسى: أمير مكة. ذكر ابن جرير: أنه حج بالناس، وهو والى مكة، فى سنة خمسين ومائتين وأنه فى سنة إحدى وخمسين ومائتين، حارب بنى عقيل لما قطعوا طريق جدة. وقتل من أهل مكة نحوا من ثلاثمائة رجل، فقال بعض بنى عقيل [من الرجز]: عليك ثوبان وثوبى عاريه ... فالق ثوبيك يابن الزانيه وذكر أنه هرب من مكة فى سنة إحدى وخمسين ومائتين، لما ظهر بها إسماعيل بن يوسف العلوى، وفعل تلك الأفعال القبيحة بمكة وجدة. وقد تقدم ذكر ذلك فى ترجمته فأغنى عن إعادته.
